If your daughter is passionate about horses and wants to spend her summer with like minded girls aging from 13 to 17 then please consider having her spend a week or the summer at Hidden Valley Equestrian Center summer riding academy. Our rural campus is approximately 1 hour north of Augusta our state capital and 1 hour south of Bangor.
Students will either arrive with their own mount or one will be assigned to them as “their” horse to care for and ride during their stay here at Hidden Valley. Students will find their days filled with fun and many equine related activities. Each student will participate in 2 mounted lessons per day. Riding is available rain or shine since we have a large 70x140 indoor arena and on hot summer days an afternoon swim is offered in our large in ground swimming pool. Evenings will be campfires and social time. We offer occasional off-site trips to the movies, putty golf or bowling.
If students are interested in competing then they will have the opportunity to compete off-site once a month either in a pleasure/equitation show or a cattle event such as team penning and ranch sorting (additional fees will apply).
Residential maximum capacity is 6 students. Girls will share 2 bunk rooms and will be required to keep them neat and orderly. We offer a safe, supportive and nurturing environment as they embark on a remarkable journey in becoming independent, confident young equestrians with Jamie Estes as their riding instructor and a counselor to assist with all activities.
We hold a Maine state license and all meals are nutritious and prepared in our on-site kitchen.
Co-ed day students will join in with residents to participate in the days activities.
We are family owned and operated and appreciate your interest in Hidden Valley Equestrian Centers resident summer riding program. We look forward to meeting you and providing the opportunity for you to make new friends with other girls sharing your love for horses!
Thank You,
Terry and the staff at Hidden Valley Equestrian Center, Inc.
